If you don’t love Jetta, there is something wrong with you!

Okay, obviously the universe either wants me to photograph black dogs, or Goldens.  Not that I’m complaining, but this is crazy!  However, Jetta is NOT a Flatcoat.  She is an adorable Lab mix that is astonishingly mellow, although you won’t be able to tell that from some of the photos I post here.  She is also super smart, secure, has amazing eye contact with everyone (the first thing I noticed about her), is always looking for direction, and her owner has worked with her every spare moment of the day, which is what makes the difference between an awesome dog, or an average one (or one with issues).  She walks without a lead,  stops and sits at corners, lets her owner cross the street without her and will stay on the corner, she shakes with both paws, is learning how to heel properly, and is only 13 or 14 weeks old.   This little one is a WINNER.  Eager to learn, and thankfully got the right owner that is teaching her everything she can think of.   Meet Jetta!

Yep, she is a little ball crazy.  And I got more shots with four off the floor than I ever have with any other dog.   But she also found the smells along the river trail very intriguing!

What, is there something on my nose?

More ball action….she is very focused, but has yet to excel at the last step….actually catching the ball.    😉

She had never been to the river before, and her reaction was interesting.   It also provided a few still shots of her.

Hmmmm.  Maybe I’ll go do something else for a while.

But later, she went back to check it out again, and actually test the waters.

I love her nonchalant look here:  “What?  I’m not freaked out, I just didn’t feel like going in, it seems boring!”

A STICK!  Nothing is more exciting than finding a good stick.  Even if it is a tad heavy.

No no, I don’t need help, I will just have a kink in my neck later though.

Some good pouncing action with the stick!

And you know, when a stick isn’t around (because “Mom” took it away), twigs do just fine. Even if it doesn’t taste good.

We had some time for a few cutie-pie shots for certain…..

Yes, I have a stick at my feet, and I am VERY proud!

Pretty girl.

And then, some more ball action.  Four off the floor again!

She seems mystified at how the ball always escapes.

Ending with some beauty shots!  She was more than happy to pose on a snow covered rock to get those gorgeous mountain views, and sometimes the beauty shots are best when they happen naturally.  Thanks Jody for letting me shoot your precious girl….she has some big paws prints to fill but she is well on her way, and I can see how much joy she has brought you.  You are an AWESOME dog mom.
