telluride has big dogs and little dogs….

And I had the challenge of trying to photograph both at once!  Meet Cadence, a 7 year old Great Dane, and her buddy Axel, and 12 year old Pug.  Cadence is a bit of a free spirit, giving affection on her own terms.  Axel was just a love bug, which made him extra hard to shoot, since every time I would get low to the ground, he would run over for some love.  Not to mention that when they both figured out I had treats in my back pocket, they couldn’t think about anything else!  Regardless, we were lucky to have another gorgeous fall day in Telluride, and we took full advantage of it.

Meet Cadence….who almost blends into her surroundings with her beautiful brindle markings.

Oh yeah, she’s gorgeous.  And she knows it.  But she has a wild and crazy side, too!

Axel decides to join the fun after peeing and sniffing on everything in sight….gotta love those boy dogs!

Unless you have cookies, Axel prefers to sniff and explore….

Or hang out with mom….

Or look for cookies.  Excuse me, do you have cookies???

I SAID, do you have COOKIES?????

I love his pug tail.  Here it looks like a soft serve ice cream cone!

Thanks Karen, I hope you enjoyed your sneak peak!  I will have your gallery to you soon – until then, give them some extra cookies for me!

Liz I think these turned out great, Jen! I especially like the one near the bottom where the puglet seems to be smiling on the “cookies” shot. The I think this shoot turned out excellent. I’m sure the owner will be very pleased with these. Good work!

Ruth Great job Jen! I’m so in awe of where you live. It’s just stunning.

Charlotte Love this shoot! Such a majestic Dane, that head shot is beautiful. The one of Axel and his Mum is gorgeous too, you can see their bond. Such beautiful scenery you have!

Carolyn Love the first 4 of Cadence and the one with Axel with Cadence laying down facing the other way. Beautiful shots Jen.

Wendy What a stunning great dane. I love that first one – I could see it as a large canvas over my fireplace. Too bad she isn’t my dog! And Axel jumping up on your leg for treats… Priceless!

Anda Fantastic series, Jennifer! Loved the “ice cone tail” comment, you are so right! Gorgeous scenery and beautiful pups! I really laughed out loud at the action shot with the incredible face 🙂 Their mom will sure be delighted – well done!

Karen Amazing shots, & such a range from dogdom. Cadence’s colors are so fabulous with that background, & she looks so much a creature of the wild. I love it!
