Meet Macy. Macy is a Sheltie, smaller than she appears here – and one of my favorite customers. In fact, she seemed perplexed to see me outside of the store at first, and I think she wondered why I was sitting on the ground and not constantly giving her cookies (which is hard not to do, because she is so polite and has one of the sweetest faces when she wants a cookie)! Macy is 10 years old and was diagnosed with cancer in her bladder last spring. Her prognosis is not good, and she has good and bad days. This was a good one. I was worried about wearing her out so we only had a half-hour session. I have never seen her play with her tennis ball and I REALLY wish I had a video camera. What I couldn’t capture on film was her snarling and growling as she chased the ball — it was truly hysterical! Here is the feisty little Macy coming back with her “prey”…..
When her mom wasn’t throwing the ball, Macy again showed me a side I’ve never seen in the store. Could she possibly be more demanding? THROW IT, THROW IT, what are you waiting for?!
Whoops, we interrupt Macy’s photoshoot for a brief appearance by an obnoxious Lab who kept bringing me this massive stick, dropping it at my feet, and barking his head off. No owner in sight. Just what I need when I have $3000 of camera equipment around my neck. I love dogs, but not when they are rude and ownerless.
Okay, we got rid of the dog, and Macy needed a rest. She was more than happy to have some tummy rubs from mom! Love her little paws.
Some beauty shots, of course!
Had to throw this black and white in of Macy and her mom (don’t kill me Beth), I just thought it was really lovely of the two of them.
Ummmm….I think Macy is telling us she is finished and wants to go home and have dinner. Check out the tongue. 🙂 Thanks Beth, I am finally glad we worked out a time and I hope you enjoyed your sneak peak!
