Telluride dog photography – in canvas!

Summer is almost here!  I’m already getting bookings for June, so please don’t wait until the last minute to book a summer session since I am unavailable for some of June and July.  Early summer is SO gorgeous with a much smaller chance of afternoon rain.  In the meantime, I couldn’t help but share some of the stunning canvases ordered this April.   Some clients are hesitant to order canvas due to the price, but they are worth every penny.  I had a customer come in to my store while one that was 24×36 was being unveiled to a client and she said “oh my gosh it looks like it is 3D!” — that is why I love canvas.

But beware….every place that prints photos now sells canvas.  Don’t be fooled.  I’ve tried even some different pro labs to try to lower my price point for clients, and the quality is vastly different, as is mounting.  One company I found was not using real wood stretchers, but CARDBOARD, which wasn’t obvious at all until you took it apart. It never would have stood the test of time.

Here is a canvas order from a session I haven’t posted yet.  This is 11 year old Walter, a special boy with LOADS of personality.  Can you tell?  🙂

There were tons of great “beauty shots” of Walter, but I love that they chose one that shows his awesome personality.  What a sassy boy!

And here is Jetta, who is no longer a puppy!  Who wouldn’t love the flying ears and that big puppy paw covered in snow coming at you?

From Gus and Shami’s session…..they wanted a canvas of both the dogs, and the owners had a hard time resisting the gorgeous background.

And lastly, from a session that also isn’t posted, this is handsome Cooper.  Cooper is a STUNNING Flat-Coated Retriever from the same breeder as my dog, Blue.  He is young and still hasn’t filled out entirely, but I think as he ages, he will be drop dead gorgeous!

Thats all for now!  Sorry it has been so long since an update, it has been a crazy few months!
