You’re right. I had been holding off on posting this since it wasn’t shot in Telluride, but I had a feeling that it was the right time to do it.
Meet Willow, Shelby and Blake…. It was hot hot hot, almost 100 degrees, and I can’t say any of us were too pleased about the heat, but the dogs rallied, and so did I. Not very much action going on during this shoot. If only there had been a pool around!
The dogs are all rescues. Their owner has always been a rescue person which I admire greatly, and they are all wonderful dogs.
Meet Willow and Shelby!
Willow’s breed is a big mystery. Gretchen gets stopped all the time with people informing her (not asking!) that she has a boxer mix, a pit bull mix, an aussie mix, a bulldog mix….if anyone needs genetic testing, it is Willow! She must have an identity crisis by now! And I think it would save Gretchen from a lot of conversations she’d prefer not to have. All that really matters though is that she gets plenty of kisses!
I found out today that Gretchen’s oldest, Blake, has either crossed the bridge or is on his way there. He has had a good life and was well loved….and although his arthritis was making him very stiff on the day of the shoot, it didn’t stop him from posing like the rock star he is.
We had a neighborhood doggie party after these shots, and you’ll soon meet Ralph, Sparky, and Alex! In the meantime, I am glad we were able to get some photos of the dogs in scorching heat, and that Blake was willing to participate. Gretchen, I’m so sorry for your loss.
